In 2024, we posted slightly less blog posts compared to the previous year. We’re still quite proud of our 40 posts in 2024.
As during the previous years, we haven’t spent much effort on X. We’ll shut it down. Also, as stated last year, Instagram remains a huge mystery to us. In fact, the number of new likes and follows was extremely low in 2024. For generating website traffic, it’s a less than optimal platform in our opinion. Maybe Facebook holds the answer?
Website traffic
Our site, according to Google and Jetpack statistics seems to get lots of attention from you readers. Compared to 2023, the number of visits to our blog increased by nearly 200 %. By being consistent with our SEO strategy, our posts are well found via search engines.
Like during the previous years we haven’t received many comments. On the other side, we finally managed in 2024 to get our WordPress-Jetpack Like button up and running! Some readers already hit that star-shaped like button at the end of a post. The problem seemed to have been between Cloudflare and the Jetpack plugin itself.
Anyway, looking at our statistics clearly tells us, that you are numerous to read our articles.

Games played
2024, as you will see, is, games-wise, a historic low for us. This was mainly due to family priorities.

Everyday life and a new family member (hopefully a new member of the club) made it very difficult to play more games.
We’ll have to see how next year turns out in that regard.

As usual, we met at LuxCon, Butschebuerger Buergfest and Steam Punk Convention together this year.
We sporadically hosted our weekly Motivation Discord meetings in the 2nd half of the year.
That said, soon we’ll have our New Year’s general board meeting when we’ll discuss ideas and set goals for 2025.
